You know when..

There is a whole bowl of m&m's sitting outside of your office? And you just have to eat them? I mean, they are right there, so might as well grab a handful each time, right? You have to make sure they are even though, too. Even as in, you have to have one on each side of your mouth while you chew so you don't feel off balance. So instead of putting one back, you just pick three more out of the bowl.

And now I feel a bit sick.

Good news is, everyday this week I have ridden to work on my bicycle. Ridden it even though it's feeling a bit sub-zero out there right now. Of course, I think that me riding my bike in sub-zero makes me way cooler. I also get extra points for not whining about it.

The White Whale Website is almost done. I need to fix A LOT of stuff on it, but it is up and semi-functional. If I can achieve internet this weekend from the apartments surrounding me, I will be in business. All of the sudden I'm a website designer. Who knew?

In addition to website designer, I am going to be a teacher, a bowler and an open house facilitator this weekend. It NEVER ENDS.

Lastly:

Almuerzo con Natanya esta muy bueno, y viernes proxima, traego Mark. Natanya dijo yo aprendo rapido, y ella fue impresionado!

In Sequence: Comic Show

Picture+2.png

Volunteered!

So I'm hopefully volunteering for Art vs. Craft on Saturday, November 29th. That will be an extremely busy day, because I have pre-college in the morning and then bowling league at night. PHEW.

Also, postcards will be coming in for the comic show. I am EXCITED.

And it is cold out, but I am increasingly becoming used to it. Riding the bike in the winter ain't that bad. I haven't tried blustery snow yet though. Those days may be bus days.

And this is what Brett and I look like when we work:

Winter is here.

Yep. Definitely eating some ice cream in some cold winter weather.
We walked to Omega Burger the other day specifically for this purpose. It that time of year where I have to start wearing an actual coat.

It also smelled like snow this morning and apparently it is snowing outside (I wouldn't know because I work in a basement) and I have to ride my bike home.

I also got a new Nikon Coolpix. I wanted a small point and shoot that I can take with me anywhere. I prefer my larger one, but I'm always afraid I'm going to break it. Expect Flickr to be updated quite more often.

I'm famous.

Apparently I was on the 6pm news - 12 ABC - last night. Yesterday I voted early and I waited in line for 3 hours! Woe is me, the lines are much shorter today, but I won't have an opportunity to vote today so it worked out for the best.

I couldn't find me online, but this video best describes the atmosphere. Again, I stood in line for three hours. Also, for those that may be interested, here is a transcript of my interview, from what I can remember:

Jason Newton (I believe): "Hi, can I ask you a few questions?"

Me: looking terrified

JN: "Don't worry, they are real simple."

Me: "oh....o--okay"

JN: "Did you ever expect this kind of turn-out?"

Me: "Well, I'm kinda young, so I don't really have too much experience when it comes to this..mumble...mumble..... I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but I'm really glad to see a lot of people are out?" (yes, it was a question)

JN: "Why are you glad?"

Me: "Well, people care, Jason. I'm glad to see people are caring, and it is great and the fact that everyone is out here caring, well that's really just great."

Very eloquent. If you happen to see it, you will know what I mean.

Also, met the mayor. He thanked me for my patience and I thanked him for being the mayor. I was really spot on yesterday.

The Perfect Sketchbook.

I was in Chicago a while back and I was traipsing through the Dick Blick store that they have downtown. HUGE and HEAVEN are the first words that I would use to describe it. I came across a beautiful sketchbook with several different colors every few pages. I HAD TO HAVE IT. But now was not the time nor place, so I decided I'd get it in Milwaukee. NO ART STORES IN MILWAUKEE HAVE IT. "What is wrong with this city?" I thought to myself.

I did end up ordering it off of the Dick Blick site about a month ago. GLORY! I've never gotten a sketchbook that I was excited about really finishing. I've been drawing in it nearly every day.

I've also been going crazy with the Shrinky Dinks. I've been gluing them everywhere. Especially magnets. They make great fridge magnets. Mark has gone even crazier. He's drawn every food substance (fruits, veggies, the whole pyramid) and made them into fridge magnets. I want to start making amino acid necklaces with them, but I'm getting too much of a kick out of the skulls to do much else.DSC_0001.JPG

Happy October!

As much as I can't stand winter, fall is one of my most favorite times of year. As soon as I get over the shock that summer is over, bring on the pumpkins, fall leaves and crisp air.

Luckily I get to travel around Northern and Western Wisconsin for work during this time. I am excited for next week!

I've also suffered from camera withdrawals. Mark has had my camera for quite some time, and I'd like it back. We've gone crazy with Shrinky Dinks and I have some pretty sweet Day of the Dead skulls I wanna show off.

In light of my financial success (I am debt free [besides school loans which will never go away]!!!!!) My only extraneous cost is now my new PICCOLO which I am renting. I love my new piccolo!

Which isn't a lot to say about America as a whole right now. America should have waited till it paid its Netflix bill, before it went out and bought its own piccolo.

Scary times!
